The West Bengal Integrated Financial Management System (WBIFMS) is the central portal for all state employees, pensioners, and administrative officers. Understanding how to navigate this platform is essential for managing your official payroll details.
Accessing the Employee Self-Service (ESS) Portal
To access your personal financial details, you must use the Employee Self-Service (ESS) portal inside WBIFMS. To log in, you need your unique 10-digit HRMS Employee ID and a secure password. If you are logging in for the first time, you must register using your mobile number registered with your office's Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO).
Downloading Monthly Payslips and Tax Declarations
Once logged in, the ESS dashboard provides options to download your monthly salary slips. Select "My Payslip," choose the year and month, and generate the PDF. Checking your payslip regularly ensures that your basic pay, DA, and deductions match the figures in your office record.
Additionally, you can submit your annual Income Tax declarations directly through the WBIFMS ESS portal. Inputting your planned savings under Section 80C, health scheme contributions, and house rent details allows your DDO to calculate your monthly TDS deduction accurately, preventing tax recalculations at the end of the fiscal year.
Checking Your GPF Account Statements
For employees under the General Provident Fund, the portal provides online access to yearly GPF ledger statements. Select "My GPF Statement" to view your monthly contributions, accrued interest, advances or withdrawals, and the final balance.
If you find a discrepancy in your GPF ledger balance, report it immediately to your DDO with copies of your monthly payslips to correct the entry in the central treasury database.
